A Card For Estella (My Grandmother)

When I was a little girl my grandmother had a beautiful black dress with bright flowers on it that she bought on Olvera St., in Los Angeles, CA. I used to love to watch my beautiful grandmother dance in it. When I saw this Unity stamp I thought of that dress. I am using a sketch from The Sweet Stop, paper from Authentique "Carefree" here and my bff's the Scrap Addicts Attic.

New Home For The Wilson's

I'm here at the Scrap Addicts Attic having fun with the little gals today. Here is the card my granddaughter made for her Aunt and Uncle who just bought their first home! We used a sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches and fancy pants "Love story" paper.

Its Starting To Look Like Christmas

Here is a small project I picked up from The Scrap Addicts Attic. I only made three of them but they are a fun addition to any tree.

"Moose Sister" Christmas Card Holder

Over the summer I went to CO with my best friend , Paula and made many new friends. We stayed at the Chocolate Moose Lodge in Fairplay hence the  "Moose Sister" title. Yesterday in the mail I recieved this cute little Christmas Card Holder project from my friend Shawna. It will now be a part of my family traditions. Thank you Shawna :-)

Advent Calendar part II

After the first Advent Calendar, I became addicted to the idea and made another one. This poor cookie sheet was even more beat up than the last so I deco paged the cookie sheet with some of  "jackie eckles" Happy Holidays paper and then covered 25 match boxes with paper from the same pack. I did 8 cream colored boxes and really only decorated them. I applied magnets to the back of each box (I had to hot glue them they didn't stick well) and then magnets to the back of the cookie sheet. The first calendar did not go to waste, it will now hang in my grandchildren's home.

Advent Calendar

This is a fun project I started with one of my best friends at her house. She had an old cookie sheet that she painted silver and then we carefully spent hours creating small matchbox size boxes for the advent calendar...They didn't fit together right. So we went to the Dollar Tree and bought three packages of matches (for just $3.00) and I then carefully covered them in paper, so much easier!

Each little box has a small tag in it with a message for that day.  On the 17th I am having my annual cookie day and having an early Christmas celebration with my friend and her family so this little box has a cookie on it.

The final box has 12-25 and a Merry Christmas tag inside.

Here is the perfect example of something everyone uses, but usually tosses away...dryer sheets. My friend Paula has this great tutorial on "The Crop". Thanks Paula these were easy and fun to make.

CC FG Challenge #2

The challenge was to use 75% items from Crop Chocolate and something from around the house. Here are  my "treat" with no "trick's" shoe with Dove Chocolate. I made one for each of the ladies at the office using ribbon I had saved off of a gift. (recycle, reuse!)

CC FG Challenge #1 "Inspiration"

The challenge was to use items from my favorite online store Crop Chocolate based upon the above collage for inspiration.

Here is my submission. I call it "Grow". As part of the challenge 75% of the items were purchased from CC. I enjoyed the colors that Paula used in her inspiration collage and the black and white photo in the corner. This is of my mother, Veronica and her girls myself and my younger sister Charlotte. You can find more about this challenge at The Scrap Addict's Attic.
